Jazz'SAlive Posters

2006 Jazz'SAlive Poster

Artist – Aaron Harvey

The poster artist for Jazz'SAlive 2006 was Aaron Harvey. For 25 years this self taught artist painted in the French Quarter, drawing on its musical history and mystery. Many of his original works are textured using pumice rocks, sand, glass beads and special gels that are laid on canvas and painted over to build up the surface and create a three dimensional image. His jazz paintings have been purchased by art lovers throughout the world.

Aaron was among the thousands of New Orleans residents who fled Hurricane Katrina. He was brought to Kelly USA by bus and has since made a new home in San Antonio. Aaron displays his artwork at the Houston St. Fair on the last Saturday of each month and most weekends.
