Fest of Tails Pooch Parade

The San Antonio Parks Foundation has decided to postpone the event this weekend, due to public health concerns. We will follow up with any updates about a potential new date.

COMPETITION DETAILS & RULES

  • The Pooch Parade will commence promptly at NOON and is open to the public at no charge. 
  • Check-in/on-site registration for the Pooch Parade will begin at 9:30 AM and end at 11:30 AM.
  • Competition judging will be held at the end of the parade.
  • Current competition categories include: Best Dressed Dog, Most Resembles Owner, and Best in Show (Subject to change) 

Competition Rules

  • Contestants must register dog(s) before event and display their registration number at all times
  • Contestants must arrive at competition site 10 minutes prior to the parade kick off
  • There will be Youth divisions for all competitions (13 years old and younger)
  • Adults must assist children under 10 years’ old
  • Contestants can enter more than one dog per competition, but each dog must be registered
  • Pairs or groups may be registered as a team
  • All dogs must be on leash during Pooch Parade and for judging
  • Dogs must be under voice control at all times
  • Judges’ decisions are final
